Fab Friday - The Day After....
Well, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I must admit, I had to open up a button on two. With, all of the wonderful cooking across the globe, I have a remedy for this weekend's attire :) Anything with spandex! But, you know you can do it with style. Here's one of my favorite outfits for those days when you're feeling a little extra full.
Turn Up The Heat
Winter hasn't officially arrived but boy have we had some cold days. Living in a less than toasty space? Perhaps, you want to knock off the chill in style. Well, heating devices have come a long way. Whether, you live in a city apartment or a single family home, there are so many options out there.
There's a style out there for whatever style home you live in. Most, of the heating devices chosen either plug into a wall, stand alone or can be wall mounted.
Always, excercise caution when using any type of heating device. Safety comes first.
Stay warm,

Fab Friday - Working in Style
As, I travel the city looking for the perfect lighting or fabric for my next project, I realize sourcing the city takes a certain amount of preparation. Moving from the suburbs where you throw all of your findings into the trunk of the car are long gone (for now). Moving back to the city where it's commonplace to hailing a cab or taking the subway, you have to have on the on the right gear! We, have already had a taste of what the winter is going to bring. Therefore, you have to dress warm. But, there's no reason not to do it in style. I decided to make a few new purchases to prepare me for the city cold and I think these are great "go-to" pieces that never seems to go out of style.
I absolutely, love the jacket because it flares out at the hip, giving extra room for winter sweaters. Military jackets have been around forever and I found this one at JC Penney in 4 different colors. The shoes are by Aerosole. They, give you a little lift but they're made for people who are on their feet most of the time. The, "Ushanka or Trapper" hat is so warm. No matter how cold it gets, this hat is not only stylish but, it protect your ears and you can pin the hat up or leave the earflaps down. The mittens keep your fingers nice and toasty and YES, you can purchase these items in real fur or faux. That's totally up to you. The leggings by NYDJ are stylish but allows flexibility. Throw on a nice flowy top and jewelry to finish it off and you're ready to take on the elements. Just because you're running around the city doesn't mean you can't do it in style. You never know if you're going to run into your next client, business partner or significant other (wink, wink).
Well, that's it for Fab Friday. I hope you enjoy my blogs and hopefully, you get some great ideas from my picks.
As always, have a safe and wonderful weekend!

All you need is a little imagination and a few close friends and family. It doesn't get any better than this.

Fab Friday - The Cape
I'm a little late with my blog, but I couldn't let the day go by without talking fashion. One of the never ending trends in fashion is the cape. Capes been around since forever and they'll never go out of style. The cape is a style that anyone can wear. I'm personally a fan because it hides a multitude of sins and it can be such a sophisticated look. This, is a style you can dress up or dress down and you still look great. Here, are a few boards I put together. My, style is pretty clean, simple with a touch of flair. Hope you like it.

Have a great weekend!

Home Trending - Chests
One of 2013's home trends is something just about everyone has in their home. The chest of drawers! The chest is no longer designated to one room. The chest can be used as a nice piece in your entryway or a cabinet used to place a bathroom sink. The possibilities go far beyond what you're used to seeing. And, it doesn't matter how old your furniture is. This would be a great d-i-y project to sand one down and repaint it. Check out Pinterest. There are so many makeover projects using old chests and dressers. Remember, you don't have to have a room with all matching furniture. There's nothing wrong with having one accent piece with a bold color.
