Fab Friday - Working in Style

As, I travel the city looking for the perfect lighting or fabric for my next project, I realize sourcing the city takes a certain amount of preparation. Moving from the suburbs where you throw all of your findings into the trunk of the car are long gone (for now).  Moving back to the city where it's commonplace to hailing a cab or taking the subway, you have to have on the on the right gear! We, have already had a taste of what the winter is going to bring. Therefore, you have to dress warm. But, there's no reason not to do it in style. I decided to make a few new purchases to prepare me for the city cold and I think these are great "go-to" pieces that never seems to go out of style.

I absolutely, love the jacket because it flares out at the hip, giving extra room for winter sweaters. Military jackets have been around forever and I found this one at JC Penney in 4 different colors. The shoes are by Aerosole. They, give you a little lift but they're made for people who are on their feet most of the time. The, "Ushanka or Trapper" hat is so warm. No matter how cold it gets, this hat is not only stylish but, it protect your ears and you can pin the hat up or leave the earflaps down. The mittens keep your fingers nice and toasty and YES, you can purchase these items in real fur or faux. That's totally up to you. The leggings by NYDJ are stylish but allows flexibility.  Throw on a nice flowy top and jewelry to finish it off and you're ready to take on the elements. Just because you're running around the city doesn't mean you can't do it in style. You never know if you're going to run into your next client, business partner or significant other (wink, wink).

Well, that's it for Fab Friday. I hope you enjoy my blogs and hopefully, you get some great ideas from my picks.

As always, have a safe and wonderful weekend!
